It's been one of those days.
You know, the days when you walk in the door and there are four people waiting by your desk for you, each with three different things they need you to do?
Yup, it's been one of those days.
It's also the day I had meant to turn in my resignation letter. Ok, I actually meant to do that last week, but my supervisor was having one bad day after another, and I didn't want to make any of them even worse.... but I think I'm going to have to.
Although, at this point, maybe I should just give it to her in the morning instead of having sat hear all day and not mentioned anything....
Can you tell I'm a little unsure of how to do this? The last time I did this resignation letter thing, I'd been working at a nursery school (something which I believe should be required for anyone who wants to have a child, btw) and the principal was out roaming from class to class so I just left it on her desk. I knew she'd find it, and she did. She was really understanding about the entire thing.
But this supervisor... It isn't that she won't be understanding. It's just that, as much as I may complain and be ready to go, she really relies on me. Actually, there are several people who really rely on me being here to do whatever they need done.
And I really don't want to ruin their days... or their vacations.
So. I'm resigned. Tomorrow morning I'll hand my supervisor my resignation letter. Hold me to it, ok ladies?
Thanks.
Good luck with that tomorrow. It's always uncomfortable turning in a resignation especially when you've had a decent working relationship with your boss.
