At 7:52 pm on Friday, June 25, my new niece, Britta Grace was born, weighing 6 pounds 7 ounces and measuring 19 inches long. From every photo I've seen, she is every bit as beautiful as her big sister.
While I think her name is beautiful, I can't help but worry that she'll be getting water filtration pitchers for gag gifts her entire life. I hate the fact that was my second thought upon hearing the name. It makes me feel so small and hateful. It really is a beautiful name, so why is it that my mind automatically goes there?
Aunt Maggie can't wait to meet you in person, baby girl. :)
