I'm not excited, or anything.
Alright, technically she won't be my niece. Her big sister isn't technically my niece, either. Technically they're my second cousins or something, because their daddy is my cousin, but... BAH to that! Ben and I are only 6 months apart in age, grew up really close, and were always the ones watching the younger kids together. I'll never forget what he said when he called me to tell me he'd proposed to his wife, Gwen: "You could be an aunt in a few years!"
So you see, I'm another aunt to Amber and her new baby sister. Gwen was induced early this morning, so hopefully sometime this afternoon or evening the little peanut will be here. (The sooner, the better, sweetie- go easy on your mommy!) Since marrying Ben, Gwen has become one of my most favorite people. I am so blessed to have such wonderful cousins, who really consider me an aunt to their beautiful girls.
