That's a story for another more cynical post, though.
I've mentioned before that I love the simple pleasures in life. One that has hit me today is listening to LI Radio 1 on liveIreland.com while perusing Scotland for the Senses. Having traditional Irish music playing while looking at the phenomenal photos of Scotland and especially those of Direton Castle... gave me the shivers in a completely wonderful way. If anyone is actually reading this, I highly suggest that you take a few moments and just bask in the loveliness that is this delightful blog.
Other recent simple pleasures: Easter morning church; holding my two-month-old niece; birds chirping at the feeders outside our patio door; going to the library with C (monumental, actually, since he doesn't read voluntarily); gentle rain on the daffodils. Spring.
