Just Some More Complications

So. After a great date night last weekend (we did end up seeing Date Night- hilarious! although on a double date night Saturday), I had the week from hell. Monday and Tuesday were just filled with one crabby and rude person after another.

Then Wednesday morning, I was handed an assignment by my boss. Go through every single one of last years files? By tomorrow? Sure. That'll work. "I only just saw the email requesting the information." That's awesome, boss... how long ago did they send the email? Oh, and I have a class of 15 in the 'classroom' on the other side of my supplies cabinet. (my office is a desk in an open room- SUCKS. What I wouldn't give for walls.) I managed to finish about 1:45 on Friday. You try going through 250 files and counting over 2,000 visits and case notes in one day with all that chaos around you. HAH!

This weekend was nice... made dinner, spent the night in, spent a nice quiet Saturday morning watching Ghosts of Girlfriends Past and Bridezilla episodes. (I love the episode with that Valerie chick, where she 'doesn't remember' switching the flavor of her cake so she smashes the sample all over the place... what a bitch!) I bought myself a new iPod (the pink nano) on Saturday, and spent yesterday putting most of my music on it. It was nice to not have to listen to the guy drumming on the train this morning.

Of course, this seems to be a stressful week already. The kitty seems to be really sick, to the point that C mentioned he hopes she'll still be alive when he gets home. As she was her normal kitty self yesterday when I left it appears that whatever she's caught came on pretty quickly. We're also waiting to hear about the house... loan's approved but of course there's more drama involved. (Thanks, government.) All the staff here at work is freaking out because we have our 'all staff quarterly meeting' on Wednesday, and since they're revealing the new logo the CEO of the entire (national) organization will be in along with a bunch of other big wigs from the home office. So we're scrubbing and re-organizing and people are generally acting like chickens after their head's been cut off. I'll be looking forward to Friday, as usual.

Mostly I'm worried about the kitty and the house. I'm not impressed about the CEO and whomever. They're just people who happen to make tons more money than I do. Whooptie doo.

What's going on in your life? Anybody actually reading this?
