Portrait Photographer!

I am officially done with training at the portrait studio.  I have only a few training sessions, and then I'm an official team member!  I don't really know why I haven't shared more of my photography here, but I'm thinking I'll change that.  It is something that I really love doing.  Oddly, I'd been hoping to start working on strengthening my portrait skills last spring, and now I'm working in a portrait studio.  I'm excited and nervous, and a hundred other things.

My parents were out to visit last weekend.  It was really wonderful.  I miss them a lot, especially my Daddy.  It just isn't the same talking to him on the phone.  C and I showed them around, and with C's parents took them down to the National Air Force Museum, which Daddy really liked.  Then we went to Foy's, which is a neat little five and dime sort of store in down in Fairborn.  Mom liked that one.   Then Sunday was my birthday (26) and C got me a delicious ice cream cake.  He got me my favorite gift, too- a 1943 copy of Jane Eyre.  It's beautiful, and has that wonderful musty old book smell.

I'm off for now, since we're going in to be a training sit for one of my fellow trainees.  Gotta go get purty for mah pitchure!  I'll hopefully be back on quickly.  *fingers crossed*

P.S.  I chose this layout so that I could change the background by season.  That's what's up.  :)

  1. I noticed the orange right away, so bright! I like it though. Happy belated 26th by the way. You should share some of your photography here, people think taking a photo is easy and it is, but taking a GOOD photo is not easy. What do you like photographing most?
