And I worked more hours on Sunday alone than all of last week, and I'm going in for a few hours tomorrow, too!
After work tomorrow, I'M GOING HOME! :-D I can't wait to see my house and my parents and.... wait for it.....
my sweet, sweet Fionnand
my darling, nosy, naughty Nessa. How can you not love those faces?
I love my parents. I miss my parents quite a lot. But... I can speak to my parents on the phone. They came to visit me.
I haven't seen my furbabies since September 3rd. I miss them so much that sometimes there is a physical pang of pain near my heart when I look at the photos I have up or remember a specific moment with them.
Hopefully it won't be raining yet when we get back to the area where my parents live, and we can meet them at the dog park... because if these guys greet me after a longer absence the way our first dog, Taffy did.... there won't be a house left when they're done. *cue the tear-inducing (on my part anyway) memory*
Taffy was a sweet little blond dog, at her heaviest about 25 pounds. By the time I went away to college for my freshman year, she was 15, tired, sore, and generally just a sweet old dog. But when I came home? She was 4 again. My mom was taking her for a walk down the street when I got dropped off. I stood at the point where the sidewalk met our front walk and called her. She came running, faster than I'd seen her move in years, and proceeded to run in 50 foot circles around me. It's one of my favorite memories of her, especially since we had to put her down less than a year later.
The reason I say there will be no house left if my Fionny and Nessie greet me the same way? Fionn's 60someodd pounds and Nessie's 74. I hope we can get to the dog park.
I GET TO SEE MY PUPPIES!!!
What are some of your favorite Thanksgiving memories? Mine are playing football with my cousins while my aunt and mom cooked with my grandma, and waking up early the next morning to go shopping with my two beautiful girl cousins.
